Vampire films

Vampires are without a doubt the most recognizable and popular movie "monsters" . They live to feed, they thirst for blood of humans, and are immortal. They can only be killed by a stake in the heart, or by sunlight. The current years have not been terribly kind to the blood sucking monsters, transforming them into pale emo kids that stare longingly at a terrible actress. While there have been a few stand outs that treated them as either Beasts, or troubled Immortals that only long for some one to spend there days with. Those stand outs are, Dracula (1992), Interview with a Vampire (1994) Nosferatu (1922), and Dracula (1931). I really shouldn't need to explain more because Vampires are so ingrained into our culture because of various Novels and films. Twilight  brought Vampires into teenagers thoughts and lives. REVIEW:

Let the Right One In

Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant), a meek 12-year-old boy, resides with his single mother Yvonne (Karin Bergquist) in the western Stockholm suburb of Blackeberg in 1982 and occasionally visits his father Erik (Henrik Dahl) in the countryside. Oskar's classmates regularly bully him, and he spends his evenings imagining revenge. One night, he meets Eli (Lina Leandersson), who appears to be a pale girl of his age. Eli has recently moved into the next-door apartment to Oskar with an older man, Håkan (Per Ragnar). Eli initially informs Oskar that they cannot be friends

Plot: Okay so this is a truly touching film, it has a great atmosphere, and is much deeper than most horror films.Oskar is a deep truly troubled kid, the first time we see him he is practicing saying "Squeal, squeal like a pig" with a knife out. We see the reason for this later, he is tortured by bullies and pushing him against the wall telling him the same thing. The interactions between Oskar and the bullies and Eli is well acted. The interaction between Eli and Oskar are very touching. Eli is a vampire, trapped into a 12 year olds body. She has been traveling through life never aging, its truly heartbreaking. Eli's guardian is more then a guardian, he was her lover/boyfriend when he was a 12 year old. As he aged she stayed 12. Heartbreaking stuff.

Ranking 9:10 A very very good film, one of the best vampire films i have ever seen. It took a bit to sink in, but after let it sink in I HIGHLY recommend it
