Terra Nova

No it's not a movie. But I figured having not watched any movies recently this will do. Terra Nova first impressions Terra nova is a science fiction show where the world has degraded to the point were families cannot have more than two kids, and the earths air is unbreathable. Due to the harshness of the climate humanity has made a time portal to go back 85 million years in the past to forge a new world. How can this happen without changing the future? They address this pretty early, they mention early on that it takes place in a deferent time stream. The show works pretty well, the effects are typical low budget new sci-fi show. Effects aside it works very well, the acting is pretty solid. The only major acting that doesn't hit it's mark dead on is the young leads. They aren't bad mind you just not as good the adult leads. Jason O'Mara is great as the lead father. The show had a great beginning, it opened the door to show that there's some mystery hiding under the core. Though not perfect Terra Nova hit it's mark well and left me anticipating the next episode. I only hope the fox curse doesn't follow this show. 8.5/10
